"The Douglas Parent Teacher Organization is the best way for our school's parents to interact with their child's teachers. We strive to foster those relationships and create a sense of community between our staff and our parents through projects, scholarships, goal-sharing, and open communication." John Mussulman, Former PTO President

The  Douglas Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has grown over time to form a collaborative relationship in support of our students. This connection is bolstered by a unifying goal to raise funds, make improvements, and support school initiatives deemed appropriate and necessary to the functions of the school. Comprised of PTO officers, parents, administrators, a teacher representative from each grade level, support staff members, and a Spanish translator, the PTO meets monthly to discuss school priorities and initiate fundraising efforts. Our PTO Meetings take place the first Wednesday of every month at 2:30 p.m. We hope to see you there!

A Note From Our PTO President

Hello Douglas Family! A special greeting to parents/guardians, teachers and Douglas staff. We are already on our last month of the school year, and what an incredible year it was,  full of great events and a lots of learning. Our Father-Daughter Dance and Mother- Son Day were wonderful and unforgettable events.  The girls experienced a magical and special moment with their parents/guardians and the boys experienced a very unique and fun moment with their mothers/guardians. Please give us your feedback so we can hold a more innovative event in the future.

My sincere thanks to Douglas Elementary for such a special recognition received, as Volunteer of the year 2023-2024. You made me feel special and valued, thank you for the beautiful words you gave to me and the congratulations I received.

Without a doubt, my role as PTO president has been challenging at times, but there is nothing more comforting than being able to serve, because giving will always be a way of receiving. I have gained experience, opportunity for growth and the satisfaction of proving to myself that when you want, you can and that I can always be able to give my best. Thank you for all the support and kindness received throughout this time.
