Our PTO

"The Walter Douglas Parent Teacher Organization is the best way for our school's parents to interact with their child's teachers. We strive to foster those relationships and create a sense of community between our staff and our parents through projects, scholarships, goal-sharing, and open communication." John Mussulman, PTO President

The Walter Douglas Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has grown over time to form a collaborative relationship in support of our students. This connection is bolstered by a unifying goal to raise funds, make improvements, and support school initiatives deemed appropriate and necessary to the functions of the school. Comprised of PTO officers, parents, administrators, a teacher representative from each grade level, support staff members, and a Spanish translator, the PTO meets monthly to discuss school priorities and initiate fundraising efforts. Our PTO Meetings take place the first Wednesday of every month at 2:30 p.m. in room 29. We hope to see you there!

A Note From Our PTO President

...So anyways like I was saying, for this holiday break there are a few things I’d like to get done... wait. What’s that you say? The break has passed? It’s January 2018 already? GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY where is this year going?!? Okay, let’s take a look at how the rest of the year will go!

Be on the lookout for some fliers for PTO dinners coming up in the back half of January. Fun! Then for Valentine’s Day we’ll be selling roses and stuffed animals! Delightful. March will be our Bulldog Fun Run, we always need a lot of volunteers for that... and April will be... something. Ha!
Remember, our meetings are always the first Wednesday of the month at 2:30 on campus. Childcare and translation are provided! Come visit, I promise you’ll have fun. We’ll see you soon!
